How to Set up Webhooks in Contentful

Contentful CMS is a headless content management system (CMS) and content platform that is both cloud-native and highly extensible. The platform sits at the heart of a modern tech stack and creates a structure for all content throughout the organization. Organizations can use Contentful to easily manage content, quickly deliver experiences, and publish across channels.

In this article, we’ll understand how to set up webhooks in Contentful to receive notifications on a webhook URL.

Setting Up Webhook in Contentful

  1. Login to the Contentful account.
  1. Navigate to the “Settings” section and click on the “Webhooks” tab.
  1. Click on the “Add Webhook” button.
  1. Enter the name of the webhook. Select the method as “POST”.
  1. Copy the webhook URL from the trigger flyout and paste it into the “URL” designated field.
  1. Now, choose the content event based on your trigger. For example, if you are setting up a webhook for the “Content Type” trigger, you need to choose the “Content type” event here.
  1. Click on Save.

That’s it! You have successfully added a webhook to your Contentful account.

Connect Contentful with Other Apps

If you want to connect Contentful with other apps that you use to automate processes, you must check out SureTriggers!

Contentful Integration can help you automate processes like:

  • Add a task from Contentful to Asana.
  • Add details to Google Sheets once the task is created in Contentful.

These are just some random examples of automation. SureTriggers can do a lot more!
